Community Update Meeting

 

(June 29, 2009) — On June 25, a community meeting was held at the Iron Range Resources, Joe Begich Building, in Eveleth, MN, to update former and current Iron Range taconite mining workers on the Minnesota Taconite Workers Health Study. Researchers, including SPH Prof. Jeff Mandel, were on hand to answer general questions and to explain the lung health survey in which 1,200 mine workers and 800 spouses will be asked to participate.
